I was contacted to make a logo for a really neat handmade lotion company. The owner makes everything by hand and uses only 4 ingredients: filtered water, organic olive oil, emulsifying wax and organic or natural essential oil.
I was really excited to work on this and had a lot of fun with the planning and iteration. I have included some of that process below so you can see what it might look like to work on a log with me.
My client didn't have any ideas about the logo and so I had a lot of freedom in the initial design. She was looking for something that was natural and conveyed "whimsey". I asked her about her favorite animal and she said that she has always loved zebras. So here were a few of the ideas that I sent her.
As you may have guessed, there was one on here that stuck out to her and so we iterated on that until we ended up with the final logo which was the flower with the half sun design (that was my wife's idea). Below was narrowing down the color and font.
After we narrowed it down I got the final version finished and for fun I created this mockup of what it might look like on a bottle.
